What Bolain does. Bolain is a voice keyboard. When you tap the mic, your speech is turned into Urdu text and then rewritten in Roman Urdu.
Audio. Bolain does not record or store audio. Speech recognition is performed by your phone's built-in speech service (on Pixel phones, Google). Google's handling of that audio is covered by Google's privacy policy.
Text. The recognised Urdu text is converted to Roman Urdu on your phone. Bolain does not send it anywhere and does not store it. Bolain has no internet permission, so it cannot send anything itself.
What we keep. Nothing. Bolain has no account, and no name, contacts or location are collected.
Private fields. Bolain hands back to your normal keyboard in password, number and phone fields, and in fields marked as private, when an app marks them that way.
What Bolain never sees. Anything you type with other keyboards, or anything typed with Bolain's keys (space, delete, enter).
Children. Bolain is not directed at children under 13.
Changes. We will update this page if anything changes.
